Why: If you have symptoms, you should, but if your problem is fixed, why would you want to waste your time.

Knee check up: Depending on what procedure the surgeon performed this may require several follow up visits over the next year. A straightforward meniscectomy may only require 2 follow up visits whereas an acl reconstruction may require 5-6 follow up visits.

Not typically : Unless you have a problem. If it is a simple procedure such as a menisectomy i typically discharge my patients at 4-6 weeks. If it is a joint replacement you should follow up on regular intervals the first year and the every few years or so after that as needed.

Knee postop: What surgery did u have ? Typically if you have resumed all your desired activities and experience no knee pain or swelling you r fine and don't need additional attention( unless the surgeon asked for you to be checked at one year post op)
