Suture repair: A meniscal root detachment can be repaired with an arthroscopic suture technique. This will stabilize the meniscus and prevent the clicking, catching, or popping you sense if that is the cause. This is done as an outpatient procedure.

Usually: Would likely need surgery if there are mechanical symptoms such as you are experiencing. Can do repair or partial meniscectomy.
