My 5yr old has strep since august in her private area and our doctor has refused to medicate or treat with positive cultures, should we change docs?

Decision: Decision is with you, you are already frustrated and will continue doubt this physician, go for 2nd opinion.

Confusing question: There are many forms of strep and some are considered normal in the genital area.Group B strep is commonly found in the stool and can be found in/on the normal female genitals at any age.Group A or C strep are generally considered invasive pathogens and treated when part of an infection. A weeping genital dermatitis with GAS should be treated.Sounds like you need to clarify the issue first.
