Concerning: The quantitative beta-hcg test should double every 48 hours. If this was truly 48 hours, then there is reason for concern. This relatively low number could represent many things, including abnormal baby or tubal pregnancy. Hopefully you're not having pain. Either way, it would be wise to have an ultrasound to make sure this is an intra-uterine pregnancy and to find out why the number is low...
