Mucous: The inflamed colon inside layer secretes mucous in excess of usual amount. Usually this mucous is incorporated in the stool. If the rectum is inflamed, the mucous may come out without stool. It is not dangerous. Perhaps the anti-inflammatory medicine should be increased.
