No: Whey protein can be helpful to drink after working out as it helps to replenish your muscles. It might also have other positive qualities, like boosting the immune system and helping the body regenerate the most important antioxidant in the body, glutathione. The only reason i would recommend avoiding whey is if you allergic or sensitive to dairy.
