Absorption : Several factors would potentially contribute to a decreased g/t ratio, the most likely being a lack of glycine absorption by the small intestine, possibly due to intrinsic disease or dysfunction. Extrahepatic cholestasis (such as gall stone blockage) will also result in a lower g/t ratio.
