A member asked:

M 33 yrs old male: changes of osteoarthritis in ls spine. pid seen at l4-l5 and l5-s1. diffuse fatty liver seen is it permanent? pilates is cure?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Lumbar disc : Pid or prolapsed intervertebral disc is a herniated disc. Discs can be retained within the capsule or free fragments. Discs not causing debilitating leg or back pain can definitely be helped by physical therapy or pilates. Sometimes selective nerve root blocks can reduce pain so patients can undergo physical therapy. Surgery is the last resort. See your primary care for fatty liver.
