Possibly: Enlarged adenoids can be a result of allergies or in general- the immune system working hard. Adenoids are grape like clusters that have immune function so if they are challenged a lot they will hypertrophy. So indirectly environmental things tat a person is allergic to may create allergic immune response and enlargement ogf the adenoids.
