Feel a little down?: Everyone gets depressed from time to time. It's a human emotion. It happens. But, when a depressed mood lasts for 2 weeks or longer, and is accompanied by loss of interest or pleasure in activities, changes in appetite, weight, sleep, ability to think or concentrate, etc. It might be considered a major depressive disorder. Cognitive-behavioral therapy can help as can taking other actions.

Agree w Dr. Smith,: Here are things that you can do: talk about feelings ; address problems. Don't avoid them. Aim for 7.5 - 8 hours of sleep/ night. Daily physical activity is optimal in a green space. Eat healthfully. Cut out junk carbs, caffeine ; alcohol (or moderate). Try qi gong, tai chi, acupuncture, acupressure, homeopathy, meditation, yoga, exercise program or deep breathing exercises.
