I had an onset of a sharp, throbbing pain in the concha of left ear and in a larger area 3 inches above left ear, 48 hoursago. there is no tooth pain and fever. what should i do?

ENT: I recommend that your see your physician or an ear nose and throat specialist. It does not sound like anything related to a dental problem and also unlikely related to tmj.

Tmj: Could possibly be TMJ or related jaw muscle issue, the muscles above the ear are all inter-related. Best to see your doctor who can refer you to a dentist after ruling out ear problems.

See your MD: First go to your primary care physician for a regular check up, he will refer you to an ent(ear, nose and throat) specialist or a neurologist to determine if it is a muscle related issue or nerve issue, also a visit to your dentist to make sure there is not an impacted wisdom tooth causing all this trouble.
