What can i do about stinging eyes when putting on contacts?

Eye Sensitivity: Some people are sensitive to the contact lens solution they are using, or may be sensitive to preservatives in the solution. By putting an artificial tear (ideally preservative free) on the contact lens directly before putting it in the eye the stinging may be relieved. You could also consider different lens solutions, but you might want to ask your eye doctor about recommendations.

Preservative reactio: Some people can also develop reactions to preservatives in contact lense solutions. Check with your ophthalmologist. You can also be having subclinical eyelid inflammation/infection aggravated by manipulation of the eyelids when inserting the contacts.
