See eye doctor: Try using artificial tears four times a day because many times the eyes water when they are dry as an overcompensation. If no relief, see eye doctor because the drain duct could be clogged or allergies/infection. Treatment with prescription drops would be easy fix.

Dry eye: Your description sounds like dry eye. Try artificial tears, warm compresses, and fish oil supplements. If no improvement, go see an eye doctor.
