Get a recommendation: The best way to find a new dentist is to ask you friends, neighbors, co-workers, colleagues, or other healthcare professionals in your area. Unfortunately, just picking someone with an internet search or phone book is pot luck. As a last resort you can research dentists on this site and check their credentials and recommendations.

Ask around.: Ask people you know in the area who they see. Particularly people with nice smiles! also, you can usually find online reviews that can give a pretty good indication. Then, go for a cleaning first to get a feel for the dentist and his staff.

Ask around: Your best bet is to ask any friends, relatives, co-workers, and neighbors who they use and like. If no one can help you, call the local dental association.
