Timing: You must make it part of your daily routine, not when you "have time" just like taking a shower (as you should), brushing your hair, shaving, what ever. You must make it part of your routine. First thing in the moring (or after breakfast) and last thing before bed will the best times. If you can watch commercials on tv you have time to brush. See your dentist for more info.

Use a timer: Most people don't brush long enough. Use a timer. Brush for at least 2 minutes. You can also get disclosing tablets or solution from a dental professional that will show you where you are missing and allow you to practice more efficient brushing and don't forget to floss.

Consistency: Brushing and flossing your teeth at certain times of the day will become a habit if you do it consistently. A good rule of thumb to follow would be to brush at least twice a day, once upon arising and once before going to bed. If you do this consistently, you will develop the habit of brushing at those times and won't feel good if you miss.
