Guided meditation: There are many recordings of guided meditations by experts such as jon kabat-zinn, belleruth naparstek, emmet miller md, marty rossman md, and lucinda sykes md. Many of these are available through www.Soundstrue.Com. Meditation is a practice that helps you stay awake to your life, and the purpose is not really to stay "stress free." paradoxically, though, it may result in much less angst.

Practice breathing : Studies have shown that meditation can have positive effects on your autonomic nervous system, your immune system and your hormonal systems, thus rebalancing your overall metabolism. Proper abdominal breathing techniques are paramount in achieving the relaxation response. You do not need to be a master. Find someone who can teach you this and then practice it consistently.
