Maybe, a Little: Using the largest muscles in the body & carrying our entire body weight is the best cardiovascular exercise. Additionally recurrent mild impact exercise is helpful for stimulating maintenance of bone strength. Keep in mind: 1 lb fat = 6-12 hrs intense workout. Exercise & building muscle mass can impact fat mass, but takes a lot of work, thus best make it fun so that you are more likely to continue.
