Multiple Options: First talk to doctor. Weight management needs to balance your overall health, make sure no hormonal reasons for "overweight." check that your idea of healthy weight is in line. Many young women are not realistic about healthy weight from unrealistic images in media. At 16, you will gain weight as you mature, and is normal. Balance meats, dairy, fruits, veg; avoid fats/carbs. Exercise 5x/week.

Diet and exercise: Exercise some portion control in what you eat. Continue to be active by finding another activity besides dancing. Portion control is very important since what you eat and how much you eat can contribute to weight gain. Eating a lot of vegetables may also help in your weight loss journey as they are low in calories, filling you up and high in nutrients.
