Plyometrics: If you want to develop explosive speed and strength specific for kickboxing, then I would recommend plyometrics. http://www.sport-fitness-advisor.com/plyometrics-for-martial-arts.html is a good link to show you some exercises that will help. Also remember that the more relaxed your arm or leg is, the faster you can throw the punch/kick. Your muscles should only tense right before impact.
