Yes: If you do not feel well and have elevated levels, consider getting a second opinion now rather than waiting 3 months. Especially, any changes in your eyes, a change in the size of your thyroid (you can feel it if you know where it is), or the skin on the front of your lower legs should prompt an aggressive workup with a view to treatment. However, minimal elevation may be a false alarm. Good luck.

Yes!!: Weight loss suggests more than 'mild or borderline' elevated thyroid levels. If truly high enough to give weight loss, your at risk for irregular heart beats, arrhythymias i would get second opinion, soonest.

Should not wait: Hyperthyroidism is dangerous and could cause tremendous problems to your health. If labs truly showed hyperthyroidism, you need to complete the workup now rather than later so you can be treated appropriately.
