Hepatitis C: Your low platelet can be caused/related to your hepatitis c- both the disease and the treatment. Also, if you have splenomegaly - or enlargement of the spleen- that will also cause/associated to the decrease level of platelet. If you also drink alcohol- please stop as alcohol will not help your problem here and may further supress your bone marrow production. Please discuss further with your md.
