I have pcos and been bleeding for 6 months. platelet levels have been above 450 consistently. 2 months ago was 468. yesterday now 568. high platelets cause blood clots etc. i'm terrified. taking irom tablets but not anemic. chances i'll die from clot?

I feel your elevated & climbing platelet counts are not caused by a primary bone marrow abnormality but is reacting to chronic bleeding or even by an inflammatory process that may be seen with PCOS. Your count of 568,000 isn't in the danger zone, but I think it would be worthwhile to consult a hematologist for best advice.
