Can hsg test damage the tubes and the uterus?

Remotely: There is a very very small chance that a hsg can damage the fallopian tubes and uterus. This would only happen if an infection occurred after the procedure. This can potentially be prevented by prescribing antibiotics prior to the procedure.

Hi, My HSG shows there is a filling defect within the uterus. Both fallopian tubes are demonstrated with mild fimbrae hydrosalpinx. Mild spillages seen bilaterally. Impression: Bilateral patent tubes, mild fimbrae hydrosalpinx. What does this mean?
