Depends: Diminished from 60 cm to 1.6 cm is quite an improvement. If you're pain has resolved and, you don't desire pregnancy, you have probably avoided surgery. If you desire pregnancy, evaluation of the fallopian tubes by laparoscopy may be indicated.
