Contraindications: Ifc should be avoided on individuals with pacemakers & near the low back or abdomen of pregnant women. This modality should be avoided where there is any possible risk of tumor metastasis. Arterial ds & DVT may have increased risk of emboli; current may increase infected areas; large open wounds may concentrate the current & distort the if field; ifc may worsen skin conditions in treated area.
