Could be a few : Things. If you've been healing well all along and now, out of the blue, you have pain, call your surgeon. A piece of hardware may be dislodged. It's also common to have sharp sudden pain, especially if the weather is changing, but this shouldn't last more than a moment. Either way, the best advice i can give you is call your surgeon.

If this is new: Pain that was never present before it would be advisable to visit your foot surgeon who performed the first surgery.

Pain: Any time there is pain of that nature call your surgeon for x rays and evaluation. It is the right thing to do - sooner rather than later.
