Yes: Hi g_a, I am assuming that either steroid (cotozone) cream or pills were prescribed for your shingles. Every doctor does things differently, but in general steroids do not work on shingles. If your hemoglobin a1c is 6.1 -6.8, your diabetes is well controlled. Still you should be careful with steroids. You should usually follow the instructions of the dr who examined you. Try to wait if you can.
