Consistency, For One: Use proper form (always), allow for adequate recovery time (rest), do only what you enjoy (makes consistency easier), vary your routines (prevents adaptation and promotes growth), eat several (5) clean, balanced meals throughout the day, drink as much h2o as you can, begin your day with a large dose of protein (if not medically contraindicated), manage and minimize your stress. Routine, dedication: Find a routine that you will do , or a series that you can work through. Then dedicate a time to commit to it. The entire body benefits. Also, develop healthy eating habits. You are fueling your body. The old saying "you are what you eat" has lots of merit. Mix some scheduled cardiac with weight bearing exercises, and some practical and dynamic exercises. These will serve you for life.
