Good question: Health is overall wellbeing of body/mind. Fitness usually seems to apply to the ability of physical action. A 53 year old man i knew was the "fittest" guy in those terms. He dropped dead while referreing basket ball, so he obviously was not healthy. Body chemistry is maintained by good diet, the fuel that cells have to burn in order to furnish the required energy for their function.
