Yes: The problem may have a medical solution, but there may also be an anatomical problem (such as a deviated septum) . All the medicine and treatments won't work until the anatomy is functional and you have an open airway.

Try an allergist: Ongoing nasal congestion can be due to allergies and testing could identify a trigger. If a trigger is identified and avoided, symptoms should improve and less medication needed. Steroid nasal sprays are the most effective treatment for nasal allergies with congestion. See an ENT surgeon if you have one-sided congestion, loss of sense of smell, history of trauma or nasal septal deviation.
