Steroids: You have been on steroids for a long time the wean can be tricky due to adrenal suppression. If to hasty can cause crisis. Sit down with your physician and discuss treatment and expectations.

Maybe: Actually, there is little adrenal suppression at a dose of 5 mg daily. However, i would only taper under the supervision of your doctor and not attempt to do it on your own.
