I've been on 5 mg prednisone for 3 months for connective tissue disease. need to stop for 24 hrs for blood test. what might i experience? bad effects

Why stop : This is hard for me to answer because i'm not sure what blood test you are taking. Most of the responses with the connective tissue disease can be measured while you still are on corticosteroids. The only exception i can think of is a blood cortisol level. You will have to ask your physician why you are stopping snd what they are measuring. After being on Prednisone for three months stopping it may bring out your previous symptoms.

Should be ok: Luckily the dose of 5mg is pretty low. You will likely do just fine, and i'm guessing your doctor will allow you to resume as soon as the blood test has been completed.
