No "average" dose: I never base anti-add med dosing on size, age or gender. The dose needs to be titrated until it is the right "size" for your brain, for your life. Keep working with a md expert in add management. Vyvanse is an excellent med for many, but it may or may not be the best med for you. Side effects need to be minimized, not accepted. Again, keep working with md til you get the treatment effect you need.

Varies upto 70mg/day: Goal is to use the lowest effective dose for each patient. Doses can be increased by 10 to 20 mg per day weekly to a max 70mg/day. Some side effects include headaches, fatigue, loss of appetite, changes in sexual desire. Avoiding taking in afternoon to prevent sleep disturbances. Reduce/avoid alcohol while on vyvanse (lisdexamfetamine). See your doctor for reevaluation/ possible adjustment of your dose.
