Mom stopped estrogen but stayed on cymbalta (duloxetine). now she says her memory is bad, and she seems to be making strange mistakes. what is wrong? she is 58.

Med side-effect?: It is possibly a medication side-effect although you have to consider that she has something completely different. Depression can cause some memory problems. Thyroid problems can also have some of these effects. It is a bit early for dementia but this is certainly a possibility.
