Throat infection: Throat infections, whether tonsillitis or pharyngitis, have the same symptoms. If you cannot swallow, please see your doctor.

Tonsillitis: The only way to find out is to see a physician (ent). They can rule out viral vs. Bacterial infections. But i suggest you see them soon before it turns to a severe infection.
