A member asked:

Can an increase in igg + iga proteins in the blood (serum) cause an overflow and therefore protein in the urine?

If kidney diseased..: Kidneys can leak protein if the kidneys are diseased. Proteinuria is a very sensitive predictor of development of progressive renal insufficiency, particularly when looking at high molecular weight proteins such as immunoglobulin g (igg), as predictors of chronic kidney disease progression. In some cases, mild proteinuria can occur without kidney disease.

No: IgG and IgA are too large to get filtered through a normal kidney.
