A member asked:

My husband age is 28 and he gets cold often .his blood test show eosinophils count 9.5% is this normal ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No.: The normal percentage of eosinophils should be 0 to 1%. I am not sure why he is getting cold, but causes of increased eosinophils in peripheral blood include allergies, drug reactions, and parasitic infections. Allergic conditions such as asthma, hay fever, and urticaria (hives) can all cause increased eosinophils.
