Possibly both: Lupus a multisystem disease and hair loss can be part of inflammation or activity of disease. I am not certain of your medicine but many agents can cause hair loss. Suggest you speak with physician. Blood work can suggest degree of activity. Med review a face to face process.

Probably the lupus.: Hair loss (alopecia) is common in patients with lupus. It can be secondary to some medications used to treat severe lupus, especially Cytoxan (cyclophosphamide). Most likely, the cause is your lupus. Your doctor should be able to tell you for sure.
