A member asked:

Can lupus cause sudden severe hair fall?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not usually: Hair loss in lupus is usually due to the discoid lesions on the scalp. Sudden, widespread hair loss with a normal-looking scalp is usually telogen effluvium and recovery is usual.
