Hypothyroidism: Hi, you may have subclinical hypothyroidism, and/ or hashimoto's thyroiditis. You may need to have further testing done, thyroid auto-antibodies, anti-per -oxidase antibodies lab tests and perhaps a thyroid sonar. It may be a good idea to see an endocrinologist, literature shows that thyroid hormone replacement may benefit you. Good luck!

Yes: Totally agree with answers but should also be evaluated by an ophthalmologist who treats ted and understands the potential interactions. Not all ophthalmologists treat or understand the sublties.

Use cold: Cold not ice application for short duration will frequently "short circuit" the pain and swelling cycles. In addition otc steroid creams used very sparing will also help short term oral antiinflamatories will frequently also help.

More tests: You need a free T4 and thyroid peroxidase antibodies to complete the picture. If tpo antibodies is positive, you should be started on thyroid medication to bring TSH to less than 2.
