Marian's syndrome: Marian's syndrome--- a connective tissue disorder! causes tall stature and hyper- mobility/ flexibility of joints. The main concern is associated cardiac problems ( mitral valve prolapse) for which patients need annual screening. Life expectancy is normal if cardiac issues are diagnosed and taken care of. Marfan.org: The Marfan foundation has a wonderful website at www.Marfan.Org. There is a lot of information there to help families understand living with Marfan syndrome. There is also an annual family conference. The next annual family conference is in july 2014 in baltimore.
