Marian's syndrome: Marian's syndrome--- a connective tissue disorder! causes tall stature and hyper- mobility/ flexibility of joints. The main concern is associated cardiac problems ( mitral valve prolapse) for which patients need annual screening. Life expectancy is normal if cardiac issues are diagnosed and taken care of. President lincoln is known to have marfan's syndrome.

Marfan.org: The Marfan foundation has a wonderful website at www.Marfan.Org. There is a lot of information there to help families understand living with Marfan syndrome. There is also an annual family conference. The next annual family conference is in july 2014 in baltimore.

Marfan syndrome is a connective tissue( kind of biological tissue that supports,connects,separates diff types of tissues) disorder.Unusually long fingers,toes,hypermobility of joints,eye abnormalities,curved spine,protruded chest bone,bulge in the blood vessel of chest. Treatment is supportive.Bulge(aneurysm) of aorta must be monitored.Medical, and surgical treatments are needed.
