Bruises: Unnoticed trauma, low platelets or bleeding disorders, blood thinner meds, extremely high blood pressure, etc.

Purpura: Ideally it should not happen without injury. If happen than may be related some coagulation disorder or some vitamin deficiency. Some platelets disorder . You should see hematologist.
