See your endo doctor: Multiple small nodules can be seen in patients with hashimoto's thyroiditis also. This condition predisposes patients to hypothyroidism, but sometimes also transient hyperthryoidism. You should have your thyroid function tests checked and thyroid antibodies checked as well. Neck pain isn't usually a symptom, however. Other things may need to be checked as your sx may not be thyroid related.

The neck pain may: Be a result of these nodules or even secondary to metabolic issues related to these nodules. The pain may also be independent of the thyroid issue as well but this should be evaluated by your physician.
