Tell your doctor: Capecitabine can cause fluid retention, but having colon cancer can also do this (in a round-about way). Also, one of the side effects of Capecitabine is an enlarged heart, which can also cause swelling. Tell your prescribing doctor. Chances are, it'll be ok to keep taking it, but he or she needs to know it's doing this.
