Possibly: Igm levels reflect the strength of your immune system. Although there is some fluctuation in your level of igm i would no expect it to change if your child had a cold recently.

Incomplete info: You can order an IGM test for a specific agent, like measles, or get IGM levels in general. When specific, it notes a recent infection with that agent.A general IGM level might be up after any acute illness. What are the chances that a Treponema Pallidum Igg+Igm non reactive test result is a false negative if the last time a person had sex was nearly 4 years ago?
My IgG HSV-1 results came back positive with an index value of 1.35. Ive never had a positive STD/STI result in the past, have had NO SYMPTOMS, IgM was negative. Should I retest considering the low index value? I read this could be a false positive?
