Somewhat: Elidel (pimecrolimus) is an anti-inflammatory cream used to treat eczema. It works best on mild to moderate eczema and when chronic treatment is needed. For moderate to severe eczema, often a more potent topical steroid cream is used to get the rash under control before switching to the safer, but weaker elidel.

It can be: Elidel (pimecrolimus) can help some people and not others it is particularly useful in thin skinned areas such as the face groin and armpits. The eyelid is another good location for a lelidel.
