Stress and worries like exams time, or having a problem that threatens you, how do they effect a person?

Get help: It's normal to feel anxious before exams, but it's not necessarily good for you. Stress hormones are released, which if present over a long time, can make a person more vulnerable to illness. Download a guided imagery/hypnotherapy cd for exams to help relax you. For a problem that threatens you, find someone who can help you feel more protected.

Creates anxiety: Stress and worry create internal anxiety. Acute stress can be helpful b/c it can rev up our system to get things done (ex. A deadline at work that everyone's working hard towards). However chronic stress that never lets up can become detrimental to health b/c it affects sleep, increases inflammation within the body, leads to poor dietary choices, leads to increase in body fat, hormonal imbalance.
