Cut the carbs: Belly fat is accumulated when we eat too many carbs. That is why low carb diets immediately result in a decrease in waist measurements, even before weight loss. Carbohydrates are sugars and starches. Fruits are also high in carbs but they have fiber and are certainly more healthy than candy or sugared drinks. Some people can just cut the sugared drinks and start losing belly fat.
