Absolutely!: You can very easily live a healthy life as a vegan, assuming you don't have a baseline gastrointestinal/absorptive or nutritional issue (such as celiac disease). Be sure to take in plenty of protein (beans, lentils), calcium supplementation since you're not consuming dairy products, and B12 supplementation (from meat, eggs, dairy only). B12 deficiency leads to blood and nerve problems.

Yes: Also, be sure to consume all types of vegetable, especially leafy greens to get enough zinc, selenium, and iron. Don't overdo it. Too much of anything (even minerals) is detrimental to your health.
