Really, really bad: Junk food generally refers to foods that are high in salt, saturated fats, simple sugars and huge amounts of 'empty calories', which means they have little or no nutritional value, but make you fat. Based on the epidemic of obesity, diabetes, hypertension, heart disease and strokes, cancer....It is the most devastating of addictions, including heroin and cocaine. And yes, I do mean 'addiction'.
